So where’s the benefit in money if it brings no comfort..

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said:

“Whoever makes the world his most important matter, Allah will confound his affairs and make poverty appear before his eyes and he will not get anything from the world except what has been decreed for him. Whoever makes the Hereafter his most important matter, Allah will settle his affairs and make him content in his heart and the world will come to him although he does not want it.”

In short what is written for the slave from provisions will come to him without any doubt. Except, the one who seeks the hear-after it will come to him without any real difficultly. While the one who seeks this worldly life, it will come but after difficulty and hardship. So the one who seeks the hear-after gains both the hear-after and this life.

The major reason in gathering wealth is to have a comfortable life, and the one who seeks the hear-after obtains this. While the seeker of this worldly life loses out in both; this life and the next, while suffering from difficulty and hardship chasing after wealth.

So where is the benefit in money if it brings no comfort?

What tribulations have come for…

Abdul Qadir al-Hanbali رحمة الله عليه said to his son Mohammad:

Oh my son tribulations did not come to destroy you, rather it’s purpose is to test your patience and faith in Allah. Oh my son destiny is a predatory animal. And predatory animals don’t eat the dead. The tribulation is a bellows; either the slave comes (out of the tribulation) like gold or like filth.
